The 73S8024C is a single smart card interface IC, compliant to the electrical requirements of ISO-7816-3 and EMV 4.0 electrical specifications. The device can be used in systems that require the support of ISO 7816 smart cards, such as Conditional Access cards in digital TV (Set-Top-Box, Integrated DTV, PVRs etc), credit cards in payment terminals (Point of Sale, Pay-per-View in Set-Top-Box etc.) or general-purpose smart cards (identity, loyalty, control access etc.) The 73S8024C implements a step-up converter and requires a single +3.3V standard power supply.
