The 73S8023C is a single smart card interface IC, compliant to the electrical requirements of ISO-7816-3, EMV 4.0 and NDS electrical specifications. The device can be used in systems that require the support of ISO 7816 smart cards, such as Conditional Access cards in digital TV (Set-Top-Box, Integrated DTV, PVRs etc), credit cards in payment terminals (Point of Sale, Pay-per-View in Set-Top-Box etc.) or general-purpose smart cards (identity, loyalty, control access etc.). The 73S8023C implements a step-up converter and requires a single +3.3V standard power supply.
