1903

For soft modem applications the 73M1903 and 73M1903C offer a low cost single-chip analog front end (AFE) for modems with a single serial host interface for data and control for up to 56Kbps and is ideally suited for multi-function printer, fax machine, personal video recorder (PVR), game console, Internet appliance and Set-Top-Box applications. The BOM of the 73M1903 is optimized for single region deployments, but can easily be modified for multi-region applications. The 73M1903C has a switchable dual transmitter which allows the configuration of the modem to support multiple-regions under software control. Management of DAA functions including parallel pickup, ring detection, caller-ID, hook control and eight GPIO. The 73M1903 and 73M1903C provide a robust and reliable solution for embedded systems designed for normal and extreme environments support.
