Teridian is the leading supplier of integrated smart card reader solutions for conditional access in the satellite set top box and digital television market. Teridian is addressing this market with a variety of smart card electrical interfaces – the 73S80xx series – as well as with self-contained, general-purpose smart card reader ICs that run, in a built- in controller, the smart card protocol layer.Smart card technologies are a key enabler in the evolution of secure e-Payment and e-Identity applications. Teridian offers the widest range of advanced System-On-Chip (SOC) solutions for personal smart card readers and terminals. The SOC offering - 73S12xx series - combine 8-bit microcontrollers with built- in smart card interfaces (single or dual) and standards based communication capabilities, such as serial and USB interfaces. With three decades of leadership in modem design and the invention of SiDAA modem technology, Teridian is the foremost supplier of embedded modems and soft modem codecs used in direct broadcast satellite billing, point of sale (POS) and credit card verification terminals, security systems, pay phones and other applications.Utilizing our knowledge and experience with DAA technology, Teridian has developed a highly integrated Foreign Echange Office (FXO) device using our MicroDAA™ technology. This family provides top level performance, quality and integrated functionality. It also features standardized interfaces to ensure that the integration of the FXO into residential Analog Terminal Adapters, small-to-medium business integrated voice and data routers, and IP enabled PBX's is made easy. Teridian's 73M1x66 family also offers the worlds only single chip FXO solution.
